Which of the 5 weekly meetings did you hate the most?
by RULES & REGULATIONS init was always stressed that the five weekly meetings were like the fingers on your hand.
each one was just as important as the next.
which of the meetings were the most boring, bothersome and difficult to listen to?

I was the weird kid in the class....
by punkofnice in.......because i was raised a jw and not allowed to do anything like birthday parties and the like.. i was ridiculed because i was dragged around on the 'ministry'(tm) and my class mates saw and laughed.. i wasn't allowed to go into school morning assembly even though it wasn't religious...just in case.....so i used to get beat up in the cloak room.. i tried to fit in but had too many guilt trips.. i now loathe the god concept and the gb!.

I feel your pain...not only was I the weird JW kid, but I was rather a bit
of a chunk too. Also, very poor and my clothes were rather awful. I was
a sad child. But the experience helped form who I am today and I don't
think I've done that bad...

I have learned a lesson about that over the years when it comes to "lending" money
to my siblings...consider it a gift. Otherwise you'll just make yourself crazy.

A long long time ago my Grandmother heard a knock at the door ....
by gorgia inhi everyone; this is my first post.
yes, a long long time ago my grandmother, freshly immigrated from post-war england to rural australia, waiting for months for her husband to follow, with only her baby for company, heard a knock at the door.
she opened it and there were two witnesses, who, after hearing how she'd just been crying in the kitchen, begging god for a friend, probably couldn't have believed their luck.

Hi Gorgia,
my grandmother's story is very similiar. She said she was wondering how to interpret the Bible and
the knock came. That was about 60 years ago. My grandfather divorced her because of it.
She's now 88 and still going strong. My mother tried very hard to
raised me as a JW, she still is, but luckily, I saw the folly of it very early on.
I avoid the topic at all costs. When it does come up, I simply state that I am an
atheist. That seems to put the brakes on.

Hi everyone..I received this email from Amy, a coworker of mine, and I cannot stop crying. I actually have met this woman at one of her Premier Parties. I can vouch for everything that is said...to lose your mother and all of your children in one tragedy is awful.
Please, if you want to make any donation, email me your details and I will provide you with an address to mail checks. I am thinking of starting a site as well..any of you techies interested? Thanks, Diana Hello Everyone, I just became aware last night of an extremely sad situation. On Wednesday, there was a horrible automobile accident and the grandmother and three children of Beci Teasley, a Premier jeweler, were killed. Here children were 6-year-old Gavin, 3-year old Gunner, and 15-month-old Makenna. Beci has in the last year been through a really hard divorce, lost her job 2 weeks ago, and her car quit running so her mom had picked up the children to take the oldest to school. As a single mom, Beci didn't have any type of insurance nor does she have the means to pay for four funerals. I know times are tough right now for everyone, but I'd like to show her that people really do care. I am accepting donations. Any amount at all would be helpful. I personally do not think I'd want to live after such a tragedy. Please keep her in your prayers. This is a hard situation for me to wrap my head around when it comes to God, but I won't go there. If you would like to help out, you can write a check to me and I'll put everything together or directly to Rebecca Teasley. I will collect until Monday, November 26th. Thank you, Amy
